Data Capture

Data capture is the process of digitizing data that is held in a hard disc format or a remote server and storing the resulting electronic information either as an image or as formats of TXT, XML, DOC, EXCEL, etc. Usually we make use of optical character recognition (OCR), and key entry methods to capture data by highly trained and professional operators with many years of experience. For an extra charge we verify every entry, thus our accuracy rate is up to 99.9%.

Everyone who takes data search as non-core business may benefit from Data Capture, including:

Museums, Libraries
Organizations, Companies
Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies
Government Revenue Bureau,
Market Research Agencies
Etc.

From Client:

1. Text based documents: whether printed matter or handwritten, including memos, air waybills, surveys, reports, instruction manuals, business cards, indexing cards, product warranties.

2. Numeric based documents: financial statements, payroll records, and time sheets.

3. Forms based documents: surveys, health insurance, application forms of any kind (credit-cards, loans, product registration, etc.)

4. Mixed-format documents: bank statements, credit card statements, freight bill transportation invoice etc.

Main Methods of Data Capture Currently

Data capture is the process of digitizing data that is held in a hard disc format or a remote server and storing the resulting electronic information either as an image or as formats of TXT, XML, DOC, EXCEL, etc. Usually we make use of optical character recognition (OCR), and key entry methods to capture data by highly trained and professional operators with many years of experience. For an extra charge we verify every entry, thus our accuracy rate is up to 99.9%.

RCO-- Our generally preferred method for data capture is Optical Character Recognition (OCR), an automated process that creates digital machine-readable versions. It refers to the branch of computer science that involves reading text from paper and translating the images into a form that the computer can manipulate. An OCR system enables you to take a book or a magazine article, feed it directly into an electronic computer file, and then edits the file using a word processor.

Key entry OCR systems can read text in large variety of fonts, but they still have difficulty with handwritten text. Comparatively speaking, the accuracy of OCR is lower than key entry. We have many levels of data accuracy and processes to guarantee different accuracy including single key, double key & compare and more if necessary based on clients.

Back to Client:

Images ( TIF, JPG, etc. )
Electronic Files (pdf, doc, txt, database, excel, etc.)

Handwritten Data-- We also maintain skillful staff proficient in manual data entry, as well as proofing and editing, ensuring that the data difficult to recognize is entered accurately.
